Oshawa Overview

Oshawa is the eastern gateway to the Greater Toronto Area and a provincially recognized urban growth centre, located on the north shore of Lake Ontario extending to the beautiful landscape of the Oak Ridges Moraine.  Oshawa is a city with a population of approximately 152,000 and has been the dominant and economic centre of the Regional Municipality of Durham since 1974.  According to the Conference Board of Canada, the Oshawa CMA is forecast to be the fastest growing CMA between 2010 and 2013, due in part to continued strong population growth.

Oshawa continues to prosper and grow, setting new construction activity records yearly.  Direct access to various transportation modes, including an airport that provides Canada Customs Services, an educated and skilled work force, attractive real estate, highly evolved infrastructure, leading edge technology and low development charges all combine to make Oshawa an excellent opportunity for business!

Oshawa has proven it deserves to be ranked in the Canadian Business magazine's list of top 40 best places to do business in Canada!
