Outdoor Sport Fields
The City of Oshawa has 40 outdoor fields (2 with lights) suitable for seasonal, occasional and tournament play. The City of Oshawa operates and maintains a total of 55 ball diamonds, including 14 with lights. We have every type of diamond to serve the ball community from minor softball diamonds to elite fastball and slo-pitch facilities. These facilities are generally open from May to October.
Multipurpose Fields
The City of Oshawa operates 6 multipurpose fields (3 with lights) that are ideal for football, lacrosse and rugby. These facilities are generally open from May to October.
Civic Recreation Complex
The Civic Recreation Complex has received government infrastructure funding for the modernization and expansion of the facility. This project is intended to be completed by late Spring 2011.
The Civic Recreation Complex will house an indoor fieldhouse with artificial turf, two outdoor fields with aritifical turf, three outdoor fields with natural turf and a complete track and field facility suitable for regional and provincial track meets. The outdoor stadium includes a seating capacity of 2,000 spectators, press box, scoreboard, sound system, change rooms, food concession and parking for 500 vehicles.
The Civic Recreation Complex has the potential to become one of Ontario's most sought after sport training and competition facilities for a variety of field and ball sports and for the track and field community.

Alexandra Park
located west of Simcoe Street North (entrance off Buckingham Avenue)
This facility operates as a high-calibre minor fastball facility. It is also suitable for adult play.

Lakefront West Park
located on Phillip Murray Avenue (east of Stevenson Road South)
Lakefront West Park is Oshawa's largest multi-diamond facility and prides itself as being the premier slo-pitch facility in the region. This facility boasts 8 diamonds built to serve the slo-pitch community.

- approved for beer tent operations
In addition to multiple league play, its large number of diamonds makes it a perfect tournament facility. This great facility and Oshawa's geographic location make it the ideal place to hold your league championships, company tournaments or charity events.
Outdoor Field Allocation Policy
The City of Oshawa distributes outdoor sport fields to its users following the guidelines outlined in its Outdoor Field Allocation Policy.
