The Oshawa Environmental Advisory Committee (OEAC) is a volunteer committee. It was established by the City of Oshawa to assist, advise and educate City Council, staff and the community on issues relating to the environment. The OEAC also has a mandate to advance the goals of the Community Strategic Plan.

The OEAC was established by Oshawa Council on May 22, 2007. The OEAC had its inaugural meeting on September 6, 2007.

Meetings

The OEAC meet regularly on once a month on Tuesday evenings, from September to June. Meetings are held at 6:30 pm in the Committee Room, ground floor, Council Chamber area. All meetings are open to the public. Everyone is welcome.

Membership

The OEAC is comprised of 13 members – ten members of the public, one member of Council, plus two student members. Public members are appointed by Council for a term consistent with Council. Student members are appointed for one year. Click here to view the biographies of the current OEAC members
