Important Information regarding the New
Non-Resident Fee For Programs & Memberships
Non-Oshawa residents will be required to pay an additional 20% non-resident fee on all City of Oshawa Recreation & Culture program registrations beginning with the Fall 2011 registration period.
Non-Oshawa residents will also be required to pay a 20% non-resident fee on Level 1, Level 2 and Add-on memberships beginning September 1, 2011.
What fees are subject to a non-resident fee?

All Recreation & Culture programs (as listed in the Leisure Guide) and Level 1, Level 2 and Add-on memberships are subject to resident and non-resident fees.
Rentals, general admission and 10 tickets are not subject to a non-resident fee.
Programs and memberships with the Oshawa Senior Citizens Centres are also not subject to a non-resident fee.

Who is considered a Resident?

Residents of Oshawa, Columbus and Raglan are considered Oshawa residents. All other cities are non-resident cities.

Do I need to provide verification of residency?
|
Residents will be required to show proof or residency in the following instances:
- Purchase of a new membership.
- If you are a new customer and wish to register for a recreation program.
- If you require a change to your address information.
Proof of residency can be one of the following items:
- Driver's license or government issued ID with address information
- Tax bill, utility, cable or phone bill

What if I own property in Oshawa but live elsewhere?

Non-residents who own property in Oshawa are entitled to receive the resident fee for memberships and programs.
Registrations in these circumstances can only be processed in person at a recreation facility. You will be required to supply a tax bill in your name.

Can non-residents register online through Leisure Online?
|
Yes. Non-residents registering through Leisure Online will be charged the non-resident rate for all programs. This rate is calculated at the check out.
Any non-resident who owns property in Oshawa is entitled to receive the resident fee for recreation programs. These individuals cannot register through Leisure Online, and must register in person at one of the city's recreation facilities.
